Twilight Series
These images are indicative of a direction that Debra has been working toward over the last few years - a romantic interpretation of the older residential core of towns and small cities throughout South Eastern Ontario.
This theme ties in with the connection she makes in her work, both technically and theoretically to "romanticism", and the attempts made by new Canadians, establishing communities in the mid 19th century, to replicate "home", evidenced by the enduring influence of British High Victorian architectural styles.
